The one thing that we locals hear the most is someone saying, "Where
do you recommend we eat?" "What's the best seafood restaurant?"
We've had our employees pick their favorite restaurants and tell us
what they order there, and what they like the best. Here's the results,
and a totally unbiased list of the best places to eat in Myrtle Beach.
When you're through here, be sure and check out the
Myrtle Beach Restaurants Directory - The
most complete list of Grand Strand restaurants around!

We'll start by saying one of our newest Italian restaurants, CARRABBA'S,
was the hand's down winner of the poll. I think we can safely say if
you only take in one "good" (i.e., expensive) restaurant while you're
here, it needs to be Carrabba's. There are two, one in Myrtle Beach, on
Business 17 at 68th Ave North; and also the one located on Hwy 17 at
10th Ave North in North Myrtle Beach.
This first part are the employees who
insisted there was no other, and what they think is the number one meal
on the menu there:
Rodney, Manager at our west store:
"I always order the Filet Mignon and the Speidino...with crusted shrimp
and scallops...." (he says, drooling...)
Andy, Mgr Trainee/Sales at the west store:
"Carrabba's is it for me!" "The best steaks I've ever had!"
Scott, Maintenance at the west store:
"I get Sirloin Marsala." "Sirloin with a brown mushroom sauce...MAN!"
PJ, Jewelry Sales at the north store:
"I love the Chicken Trio Dish." "It's roasted chicken, in a creamy
mushroom Marsala sauce; another in a white "Alfredo?" sauce; and then
the Herbs & Spices stuffed chicken with Feta cheese" "Mmmmmm"
Sherry, Check Cashing at the south store:
"I have two favorites!" "The stuffed veal, stuffed with cheese and ham,
and in a Marsala sauce; and the Grilled Salmon w/roasted tomatoes and
red pepper sauce...they are both really, really good!"

About Carrabba's, the webmaster notes that it is THE best "Italian"
restaurant I've ever visited.
The lasagna and manicotti are out of this world..."
Our other employess had a few different favorites, and below they tell
you where and why:

Brenda C., Inventory and Shipping at the west store:
"I love Chili's. (Myrtle Beach @ 44th Ave North) Their salsa and chips are
the best! Thin and crispy, and their other food is great too!"
Dennis, Maintenance at west store:
"Give me the Outback Blooming Onion!" (We have 3 Outback Steakhouses;
3270 Hwy 17 in Murrells Inlet, 17 and 70th Ave North in Myrtle, and 1721
Hwy 17 North (Cherry Grove area) in North Myrtle Beach.
Linda, General Office Manager:
"Carolina Roadhouse is MY number one!" "I get the prime rib, and the
salad is the most wonderful thing in the world!" "This is my very favorite
place to go when I go out!" (located on Hwy 17 Business and 46th Ave North
in Myrtle Beach)
Richard, Manager at the south store:
"Carolina Roadhouse is it." "Prime rib, those salads, and the croissants!"
Don, Our Computer King:
"River City Cafe's Cheeseburgers are the bomb!" (There are SIX River Cities
here! No matter where you stay, look in the phone book...there will be
one close by!)
Kathy, Check Cashing at our north store:
"I LOVE Outback Steakhouse! I go for the Caesar Salad w/grilled shrimp!"
(Kathy is very thin....)
Bob, Gun and Antique sales, north store:
"Oh, it has to be Miyabi's Japanese Steak House! You get steak, chicken,
shrimp, EVERYTHING! You sit down and they cut it up and cook it right
in front of you...and blah, blah blah..." (Bob is NOT thin...it should be
noted that he eats pizza 7 days a week too.)(Miyabi's is located at "restaurant
row" in between Myrtle and North Myrtle)
Rick, Manager at the north store:
"My very favorite is Rossi's Italian Restaurant at the Galleria Shopping
Center!" (also at restaurant row) "I love the filet mignon, blackened
beef tips, and the lobster plate!"
Wanda, Jewelry Sales at north store:
"Rockefellers!" "They have the best staff of any restaurant in town."
"Get the steamed clams, oysters, and shrimp!" (Rockefeller's Raw Bar is
on Hwy 17 and 38th Ave South in North Myrtle)
Sean, North Store's Ebay Specialist:
"Mine is Outback." "The T-bones and strip steaks are my favorite, and
they have the best bread in the world!" "Great atmosphere, too!"
Jon, Manager at the south store:
"It has to be Giovanni's in Myrtle Beach...their oysters and mussells in
red sauce...oh, my..." (Giovanni's is found at 64th Ave North and Business
17)
Ginger, Office Manager at the north store:
"Mine is Duffy Street Seafood." "I get the spiced steamed shrimp, and
crablegs." "They have ice cold beer and the freshest seafood on the beach!"
(Duffy Street is located on Sea Mountain Hwy in Cherry Grove, North Myrtle
Beach, and now on Main Street, Ocean Drive in North Myrtle.)
Jan, the Webmaster and Ebay contact:
I'm going to pick several that the others didn't mention...My personal
favorite is probably Sante Fe Station, at the marina in North Myrtle;
Cagney's Steak House in restaurant row, and The Seafood Hut across the
border in Calabash, North Carolina. For the best fried seafood, it's
absolutely worth the drive!

With 2500 restaurants here, you will have a hard time deciding where to
eat. We hope our favorites will help! Tell them we sent ya!
